E&E 2024 Congress Platform

This is the congress platform, accessible only to registered participants, offering full potential, thus its content is not identical to the website.

This platform will allow you watch recordings of the lectures up to 3 months after the event ends (for extra fee).

Here you will find all information regarding registration, functionalities, and other aspects.

Logging in to the Platform

  • To log in to the virtual platform, click here.
  • In the top right corner, select Login.
  • Log in using your e-mail (used for registration) and password (generated and sent to your email).
  • The first time you log in, you will be asked to enter the password that will be sent to your email.
  • You can change your password later in your personal profile.

Personal Profile Administration

Please fill in your personal profile and upload your photo (optional).

Manage your profile under the field with your name – Personal page.

  • On your personal page, you can find:
    • Personal data
    • CV
    • Social networks
    • News
    • Notifications
    • Personal Programme
  • Networking
    • The NETWORKING function enables you to communicate with other participants.
    • To access Networking, click the "envelope" icon in the top right corner of the screen.
    • You can then search for participants and send them a message.
    • If you don’t want to be messaged, you can turn off the networking feature in your profile settings.
    • We don’t share any contact details or personal information and communication is managed only through the virtual platform (no participants can see your email address except you)

Functionalities of Buttons

Programme

  • Access all presentations in the most up-to-date programme.
  • Manage your personal programme using the hearth icon next to every session or lecture.

Posters

  • Access all posters, viewable in full-screen mode, filtered by the poster topic.

Live

  • Allow yourself to submit questions during the discussion part of oral presentations via the Mobile app or Platform.

List of Participants

  • See who’s registered in List of Participants.
  • To be shown in the List you have to fulfil short consent if you haven’t done accordingly during the process of registration – visible CONSENT button.

List of Speakers

  • See all Speakers attending the congress.

Venue

  • See address of the VENUE.

Opening Hours

  • See the opening hours of ONLINE SUPPORT, REGISTRATION (on site) and SPEAKERS READY ROOM (on site).
  • In case of any technical difficulties, please contact us via the email eecongress2024@guarant.cz and a member of our technical support will reply promptly.

Oral and Poster Presenters

Minimum Requirements

  • Microsoft Windows and Mac OS (other devices may not be fully supported)
  • Updated Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari web browser
  • Headphones are recommended
  • Stable internet connection without blocked ports (minimum speed 5/5Mbps)
  • Always prefer using a personal computer over another device (mobile phone, tablet)

This step is integral for us to effectively promote the event and ensure the best experience for all participants. Please note with your consent given, the details you provided us with from your biography may be utilised for promotional purposes in our NEWSLETTER, WEBPAGE, and the Congress Platform to provide information to attendees.

Uploading PRESENTATION / POSTER

You will upload your presentation directly to the virtual platform.

After logging in, visit your Personal page, which you can find in the upper right corner under your name.

  • To upload a presentation, click on Upload presentation
  • The maximum size of the presentation file is 200 MB
  • Supported file types: PPTX, PDF

Communication of decision to authors (presentation/poster)

Submission of Papers

All papers must be uploaded via the online form that is accessible in the User zone.

Detailed instructions are included in the paper template.

DOWNLOAD PAPER TEMPLATE

Completed manuscripts must be submitted via the online submission form. The online submission form consists of two sections: 1) text boxes & menus, and 2) a button for uploading a doc(x) file.

All papers must be uploaded only via the online form that is accessible in the User zone.

The electronic format requires that the papers are submitted according to this template in Microsoft Word doc(x) file.

Receipt of your paper will be confirmed by e-mail. If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours, please check your spam folder and in case of no confirmation e-mail, please contact: eecongress2024@guarant.cz

All correspondence concerning the papers will be sent to the submitting author’s e-mail address.

Please check your paper carefully before submission. Immediately after submission, the paper will be locked and it will not be possible to edit it any longer.

Paper Review

The papers will be reviewed by at least two members of the E&E Congress 2024 Paper Review Committee.

The acceptance criteria for the papers are:

  • Technical content (or technical quality) of the paper
  • Clarity and rigour (the paper should be clear, easy to understand, well structured, based on well-founded arguments)
  • The scientific and technical value
  • Originality and/or innovative level
  • The paper should conform to the Instructions for Authors

The E&E Congress 2024 Technical Programme Committee will consider the feedback received from the allocated reviewers before taking a decision. If the decision is "The paper could be accepted after modification", the authors will have the opportunity to amend their paper. After modification, the papers will be reviewed again.

All the papers that are accepted by the Technical Programme Committee will be published in the Congress Proceedings.

The Technical Programme Committee will also select, based on the feedback received from the reviewers, which papers will be presented by the authors as oral presentations during the Congress sessions.

Poster Session

Authors will have the opportunity to present their paper in poster sessions during the congress. The poster session will be open to all authors whose paper has been accepted and independently on whether or not the paper was also selected for an oral presentation. Posters must be accompanied by at least one of the authors during the scheduled poster sessions.
