This congress is organised jointly by the European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA) and Eurobitume (European Association for Bitumen).
We would like to welcome you to join us for the 8th E&E Congress in Budapest. This exciting location offers many interesting historic and cultural experiences to explore while you are there.
We are also very excited to be able to return to a physical format for the E&E Congress after the decision to go virtual in 2021 due to on-going issues related to the pandemic at that time.
The rescheduling of the previous congress means that there is only three years between these flagship industry congresses but we believe that during these three years we will see a lot of changes within the working environment.
The E&E Congress will provide an excellent opportunity for a wide range of companies and organisations, involved within the asphalt and bitumen sectors, to demonstrate how they have embraced and developed solutions for these new challenges.
The overriding theme for 2024 is based on three important key words "Resilience – Sustainability – Innovation"
We expect that these issues will present a great base for active discussions and exchanges at the congress.
The need to connect our industry sectors to these themes is critical to ensure that our voice is heard among important future discussions within our various stakeholder communities.
Resilience: with the ever growing expectations related to product life cycles in parallel with the changing demands of our road networks the importance of demonstrating the resilience of bitumen and asphalt continues to increase.
Sustainability: product requirements will in the near future include sustainability attributes and the need for a coherent approach to understanding the benefits and solutions offered by bitumen and asphalt continues.
Innovation: new technologies from digitalisation, performance or mobility solution are key to the development of our industry and we should showcase our achievements as there are many!
The main objectives of the E&E Congress 2024 are to:
We invite you to contribute to the industry’s future by supporting the 8th E&E Congress 2024 by your participation through one of the many channels of involvement.
As usual we will again offer all the benefits and value of an extensive technical programme and exhibition area to participants.
Look out for more information on how to get invovled as an exhibitor and/or sponsor early so you can guarantee the optimum package to suit your requirements!
We look forward to seeing you in Budapest!
